  • We'd like to welcome back all the campers that are returning for another great summer, and welcome the many that will join us over the summer months.
  • We have been doing a lot of cleaning up, cutting down trees and spreading gravel to get the campsites ready for the long weekend opening. It's calling for amazing weather for the whole weekend...Yay!!
  • See you at The Creek!!

  • Lesley and Kelly have decided to retire from running the campground to just being able to sit back and enjoy what they spent so many years building. Today the new owners Steve and Terri Clear and Kier Koponyas and Christa Strome take over possession of the campground. We are very excited to start this new adventure with all the campers that have stayed at The Creek in the past, as well as meeting the new campers that will be joining us for the first time. Official opening will be the May Long Weekend!! Bring on the warm weather. Good-bye Snow!!

August 21, 2017
  • We just wanted to pass on a big thank you to our many guests that have joined us over the summer. We are open until the end of September so there is still lots of time to join us at The Creek Campground! It's great to see how popular our new playset and dome climber are with all the kiddies! Lots of hours are being spent enjoying the playground or just kicking the ball around the grass field!

  • The Creek Campground will now collect and dispose of both black and gray water from our campers so they don't need to worry about having to drive/haul their unit to the dump station or worry about dealing with the mess associated with dragging sewage tank totes. Just give us a call at 780.933.9658 and we will make arrangements to have your sewage problem taken care of. There is a small fee for this but it is proving to be a popular addition to the services we provide.

July 19-20, 2017
  • The entire road network was re-gravelled this week! The sometimes muddy and odd pothole have been covered over with a smooth lift of 3/4" road crush! Another great improvement for our wonderful friends and guests!

June 8, 2017
  • This week we added a playset and a geometric dome climber for the children that join their families and friends at The Creek Campground. After being thoroughly tested by Campground Manager Ron (LOL) the site was proclaimed as "ready for play"!
  • A big thank you to all our seasonal guests that have returned for another year and a warm welcome to all our new friends that have joined us for a few nights or weeks!
  • Camping season is fully upon us and we look forward to seeing you soon at The Creek Campground!

May 17, 2017
  • After a slightly delayed start due to the wet weather we have encountered this spring we are pleased to announce that the campground is open for another year! The water supply was fully turned on yesterday and the wash house will be open later today so we are now ready to welcome all of our returning friends and new guests for the 2017 season!
  • Some of our stalls are still impacted due to the heavy, wet late snowfall that we received April 14 (over 10 inches) and the additional 6 inches of rain that fell last week but we do have a number of available sites to accommodate you.
  • Projects planned for this year include drainage improvements and gravelling of the road network.
  • Thank you for choosing The Creek Campground and we look forward to seeing you soon!

October 3, 2016
  • Winter has arrived early this year and gave us our first snowfall of the season on October 1. With the colder temperatures we had to blow out all of our water lines and shut down our wash house a little earlier this year. Fortunately we did get some warming temperatures mid afternoon as our first attempts at blowing out the lines in the morning failed due to ice build up. Thankfully we were able to get it done and The Creek Campground has been successfully put to bed for another winter.
  • We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful guests who spent time with us this year! Whether it was just one night or the entire season you all brought something a little unique and special! We hope you will come back and spend time with us again!
  • Also a big thank you to our Campground Manager, Ron Longtin, for his commitment and dedication to the Creek Campground. The place would just not be the same without him and his service is very much appreciated by all!
  • Have a safe winter and wonderful holiday season and we look forward to seeing everyone again next season!

May 28, 2016
  • A late season snow storm May 20 left 33 cms. of heavy, wet snow on the ground. The snow, combined with the wind created significant tree damage but Campground Manager Ron Longtin was immediately at work cleaning up the broken trees and fallen limbs and was actually able to park a couple of campers within 1 day and while the snow was still on the ground. Special thanks to Davey Parenteau, Barry Johner and Harry Vanderklok who all vounteered their time to get the Campground back to fully operational in a very short period of time. Great work everyone and very much appreciated!
  • With all of the recent moisture all fire bans have been lifted so campfires are burning brightly again.
  • Connie and Nibs, Harry and Judy, Sheldon and Crystal, Rob and Sandi have all pulled their RV's out to enjoy their northern Alberta summer at The Creek Campground and we want to extend a warm welcome to them!
  • We are happy to welcome a number of overnight and extended stay guests who have/are spending time with us. Thank you for visiting the Creek Campground and we hope you enjoyed your stay!
  • Our Group Area is playing host to a surprise Birthday party today. Happy Birthday Penny!
May 4, 2016
  • The water system repairs have been completed and all sites should now have water. Thank you for your patience!

May 3, 2016 -
  • We are saddened by the fire threats to the community of Fort MacMurray and would like to offer free camping accommodations to any resident that has been evacuated and is displaced by the fire.
  • The Creek Campground welcomes back Brian and Trish, Davey and Suzanne, Brian and Donna, Barry and Iris, Bud and Anne who have all started their 2016 camping season! We also had our first over night guests as we hosted a couple from Yellowknife that was returning home.
  • The County of Northern Lights has placed a ban on all fires within the County, including camp fires. The Creek is pleased to comply and do what we can to prevent wild fires and will be enforcing the ban within our campground.
  • We have been working on improvements to our water system and early reports are that the project has been successful. We have a few more alterations to make so will have the water shut off tomorrow (May 4) but are hoping that will be the final interruption. The wash house should be available for use by the afternoon of Friday, May 6/16.
  • Campground Manager, Ron Longtin, continues to work on improvements such as adding gravel to sites, repairing the steps into the wash house and the many other tasks that make the Creek a great place to stay!
April 28, 2016 - Campground Manager, Ron Longtin, is hard at work getting the Creek Campground ready for you!
  • Tree trimming has been completed in order to avoid any branches rubbing your unit when you park
  • Gravel is currently being added to the low areas on the roads and in some camp stalls.
  • We are upgrading our water supply in order to remove the iron in the water. We are hoping to have the project completed by May 3/16 so we would advise our guests that we may be without water until that date. Please note that our wash house will also be closed during this time.
  • Our official opening day is May 1, 2016 but some of our seasonal campers have already moved in for another year.

We look forward to seeing you at The Creek Campground!!
